Garden Meadow 296ar leaves the center open: a soft sponged green wash, like a lawn seen from above, with all the painting pushed to the rim. There, eight large red poppies with yellow hearts and long black stamens sit in a hedge of small red and pale blue wildflowers, green leaves, and orange dots, and the whole wreath is edged by a cobalt band of fine white scrolls.
The open center is practical as well as pretty: food sits on plain green rather than on the painting, and the poppies frame the plate like a garden border. It is painted freehand by a Zaklady Unikat artist and signed on the base, so the flowers vary slightly from piece to piece. Every piece is fired under a clear glaze and safe for the dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer. See all patterns, or shop by shape starting with plates.
