Decorated in the Peacock pattern (56), this spoon rest comes from the Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec factory in Bolesławiec, Poland. The "peacock eye" motif is one of the oldest and most recognizable Boleslawiec designs, stamped by hand so the placement and color depth vary slightly from piece to piece.
It keeps a stirring spoon off the counter while you cook, and it's also a handy spot for tea bags. This piece measures 5" long by 3 ½" wide.
It is made from the same durable, lead- and cadmium-free stoneware as our dinnerware, with the factory stamp on the base.
