Cobalt Peacock 8

Cobalt Peacock 8 is the oldest form of the peacock-eye design: rows of cobalt eyes with green and rust centers packed over a solid blue ground, with a single outer ring of eyes on cream joined by fine radiating lines. Where Peacock 56 leaves cream showing between the eyes, pattern 8 fills it in, so the whole piece reads as deep blue from across the room.

It is the design most people associate with old Boleslawiec pottery and it mixes with every other traditional pattern. Every piece is hand-stamped at Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec, fired under a clear glaze, and safe for the dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer.
