This baking dish in the Star Flower pattern (221a) is handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland. The design is applied by hand with small sponge stamps and brushwork, so each piece varies slightly and no two are exactly alike.
It handles lasagna, casseroles, and roasted vegetables, then goes straight to the table for serving. The baking dish holds 8 ½ cups, measures 12" long by 8 ½" wide and stands 2 ½" tall.
Like all Zaklady Boleslawiec pottery, it is fired at high temperature into durable, lead- and cadmium-free stoneware that is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe.
