Handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland, this butter dish is decorated in the Peacock pattern (56). The "peacock eye" motif is one of the oldest and most recognizable Boleslawiec designs, stamped by hand so the placement and color depth vary slightly from piece to piece.
The covered dish keeps a stick of butter protected on the table or in the fridge. It holds 1 ¾ cups / 14 oz, measures 5 ¾" long by 4" wide and stands 4" (with lid) tall.
Each piece carries the factory stamp on the base. The lead- and cadmium-free stoneware is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe for everyday use.
It is an easy gift for housewarmings, weddings, and Polish pottery collectors. Browse other Peacock pattern pieces or our full range of butter dishes to build a coordinated set.
