Add a whimsical, functional touch to your table with this handcrafted Polish Pottery Cheese Lady featuring the beautiful Peacock pattern, made by Zaklady Boleslawiec in Boleslawiec, Poland. The domed figural cover sits over the saucer to store and present a wedge or block of cheese, and lifts off for slicing, making it both a conversation piece and a practical way to keep cheese at the table. Durable, dishwasher-safe Polish stoneware. Enjoy the timeless beauty and quality of authentic Boleslawiec pottery.
Handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland, this cheese lady is decorated in the Peacock pattern (56). The "peacock eye" motif is one of the oldest and most recognizable Boleslawiec designs, stamped by hand so the placement and color depth vary slightly from piece to piece.
It's a charming figural piece from the Boleslawiec tradition, as much at home on a kitchen shelf as on the table. The cheese lady stands 7 ½" tall.
The factory stamp marks it as authentic Boleslawiec stoneware, made in the same Polish workshop as our dinnerware.
