This corn cob dish in the Peacock pattern (56) is handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland. The "peacock eye" motif is one of the oldest and most recognizable Boleslawiec designs, stamped by hand so the placement and color depth vary slightly from piece to piece.
The long, narrow shape holds an ear of buttered corn at summer cookouts, and doubles as a small dish for pickles or butter. It measures 8 ¾" long by 2 ¾" wide and stands 1.4" tall.
Like all Zaklady Boleslawiec pottery, it is fired at high temperature into durable, lead- and cadmium-free stoneware that is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe.
