Ferment the traditional way with this handcrafted Polish Pottery fermenting crock featuring the beautiful Floral Peacock pattern, made by Zaklady Boleslawiec in Boleslawiec, Poland. The water-seal airlock lid keeps oxygen out while letting fermentation gases escape, making it perfect for sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, and other cultured foods. Durable, lead-free Polish stoneware that combines old-world craftsmanship with everyday function. Enjoy the timeless beauty and quality of authentic Boleslawiec pottery.
Decorated in the Floral Peacock pattern (166a), this fermenting crock comes from the Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec factory in Bolesławiec, Poland. Every motif is stamped and painted by hand, the traditional Boleslawiec technique, so small variations make each piece one of a kind.
The water-seal design lets fermentation gases escape while keeping air out, the traditional way to make sauerkraut and pickles. It holds 1.7 liter / 1.8 quart and stands 7.5" (with lid) tall.
It is made from the same durable, lead- and cadmium-free stoneware as our dinnerware, with the factory stamp on the base.
It makes a thoughtful gift for Polish pottery collectors. Browse other Floral Peacock pattern pieces or our full range of fermenting crocks to build a coordinated set.
