Decorated in the Holly Berries pattern (242), this fermenting crock comes from the Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec factory in Bolesławiec, Poland. Every motif is stamped and painted by hand, the traditional Boleslawiec technique, so small variations make each piece one of a kind.
It's built for sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles; the water-seal rim lets gases escape while keeping air out. This piece holds 1.7 liter / 1.8 quart and stands 7.5" (with lid) tall.
It is made from the same durable, lead- and cadmium-free stoneware as our dinnerware, with the factory stamp on the base.
It is an easy gift for housewarmings, weddings, and Polish pottery collectors. Browse other Holly Berries pattern pieces or our full range of fermenting crocks to build a coordinated set.
