Handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland, this fermenting crock is decorated in the Sweet Violet pattern (du121). The design is applied by hand with small sponge stamps and brushwork, so each piece varies slightly and no two are exactly alike.
It's built for sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles; the water-seal rim lets gases escape while keeping air out. This piece holds 1.7 liter / 1.8 quart and stands 7.5" (with lid) tall.
The stoneware is dense and durable with a lead- and cadmium-free glaze, and the factory stamp on the base marks it as authentic Boleslawiec pottery.
It makes a thoughtful gift for Polish pottery collectors. Browse other Sweet Violet pattern pieces or our full range of fermenting crocks to build a coordinated set.
