Decorated in the Mosaic Flower DU60 pattern (du60), this hanging salt box comes from the Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec factory in Bolesławiec, Poland. The design is applied by hand with small sponge stamps and brushwork, so each piece varies slightly and no two are exactly alike.
It hangs beside the stove to keep cooking salt within reach, a traditional European kitchen piece. The hanging salt box holds 3 cups.
The stoneware is dense and durable with a lead- and cadmium-free glaze, and the factory stamp on the base marks it as authentic Boleslawiec pottery.
It makes a thoughtful gift for Polish pottery collectors, and pairs well with our more kitchen pieces.
