This butter dish in the Cobalt Swirl pattern (174a) is handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland. Every motif is stamped and painted by hand, the traditional Boleslawiec technique, so small variations make each piece one of a kind.
The covered dish keeps a stick of butter protected on the table or in the fridge. It holds 1 ¾ cups / 14 oz, measures 5 ¾" long by 4" wide and stands 4" (with lid) tall.
The factory stamp on the base marks it as authentic Boleslawiec stoneware. It is lead- and cadmium-free and safe for the dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer.
It is a welcome gift for anyone who collects Polish pottery, and pairs well with our butter dishes.
