Add a whimsical, functional touch to your table with this handcrafted Polish Pottery Cheese Lady featuring the beautiful Floral Peacock pattern, made by Zaklady Boleslawiec in Boleslawiec, Poland. The domed figural cover sits over the saucer to store and present a wedge or block of cheese, and lifts off for slicing, making it both a conversation piece and a practical way to keep cheese at the table. Durable, dishwasher-safe Polish stoneware. Enjoy the timeless beauty and quality of authentic Boleslawiec pottery.
This cheese lady in the Floral Peacock pattern (166a) is handmade by Zaklady Ceramiczne Boleslawiec in Bolesławiec, Poland. The design is applied by hand with small sponge stamps and brushwork, so each piece varies slightly and no two are exactly alike.
It's a charming figural piece from the Boleslawiec tradition, as much at home on a kitchen shelf as on the table. It stands 7 ½" tall.
The factory stamp marks it as authentic Boleslawiec stoneware, made in the same Polish workshop as our dinnerware.
